Monkey see, monkey do

Top Rope Card - Kiipeilyareena

First top rope climbing evening after the initial training course was exciting. One week pause since learning the ropes didn’t rust the memory, the  figure 8 knot and other things were still fresh on my mind.
I haven’t studied any techniques on climbing, something that is on my imaginary to-do list, so the way up was easy on the legs and heavy on the hands. Still when I got over a hard point, even when it was by using muscle power instead of good technique, the feeling was amazing! It was also great to realize how you can vary your position and grip angle instead going straight up like a frog.

For 4 years I’ve held a rather paperless home. I’ve tried Evernote, calendar, and other apps that join web, desktop & mobile for various life organising tasks. None of them really work for me by themselves. They are just inaccessible. Instead of waiting 20 seconds it takes to get to my phone and wait Evernote to open, I thought what if I could see my gym exercise list by… just looking at it? Or glance at my fridge door for calendar?
I love paper – it’s a great tool for visualization.
