There’s nothing like conquering a peak, especially one that has stunning vistas and warm sunshine. Monte Barro is a picturesque mountain located in the Lombardy region of northern Italy.
I started the hike from a nearby hotel I was staying for couple of nights. The ascent was enjoyable and easy, but the midday sun did heat up at my back on the more steeper parts of the hike pretty well.
I followed my planned route with only two very short “oops” moments before realizing I should’ve taken another turn. The statistics: 5 hours, 11.8km and ↑/↓ 860m.
